Nanyang Art Studio (NAS) was registered in 1955 by its founder, Mr Yap Peng Seong. Today, we are 64 years old. NAS produces indoor and outdoor signboards for buildings and shop outlets throughout the country. One of its first customers is Bata, a global shoe manufacturer. Today, Bata remains an important client.

Founder: Mr Yap Peng Seong, JP (1931-2010)
At the age of 24, Mr Yap set up Nanyang Art Studio (NAS) in 1955. In 1986, NAS is registered as: Nanyang Art Studio Sdn Bhd. Three of Mr Yap’s children, a son-in-law, and loyal staff are now managing the corporation. In 1983, the late Sultan of Selangor, DYMM Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj conferred an honorific Justice of the Peace (JP) title to Mr Yap for his numerous contributions to many communities and NGOs.
